We're very proud and enthusiastic to announce a new feature at Copenhagen Games: EDU CUP Live - an esport tournament where school teams get to partake in an official Copenhagen Games tournament and compete over the honour of being the top esport school in the country.
Denmark has more than 80 schools working with esport education. A lot of upcoming talents are to be found in these schools, and we're thrilled to give them a chance to showcase their abilities in a professional esport setting. EDU CUP Live allows for teams from any educational institution, whether it's grade school, secondary school or even college and university, to battle it out for actual prizes and a truly unique title. EDU CUP Live is open for any school from any country.
EDU CUP Live participants will have an area of Copenhagen Games all to themselves but won't be allowed to play in our other tournaments for practical reasons. We're still working on the lineup of games we'll feature though CS:GO will be a stable for sure, so keep an eye on our website and social media outlets for further information. We're also working on our prize pool which will be announced at a later stage.
There will also be options for the schools themselves to get involved with Copenhagen Games 2018 directly. We have a dedicated EDU EXPO area for schools only. More information will be released later, but booths can already be booked at this time.
Remember to keep an eye on our upcoming news, on this subject and much more. We further invite everyone to share your thoughts or questions using #CPHGames!
EDU CUP Live is run in collaboration with www.esportservice.dk
Don't forget, ticket sales open November 6 at 13.00 CET!
