EduCup and Rydhave: In it to win it

Magnethead // 21/12-2017

At Rydhave Slots Efterskole, they take eSport as seriously as you can. They’re dedicated to shaping talent into world class and they’re bringing that commitment and professionalism to Copenhagen Games 2018. We had a talk with Kåre Heide-Ottosen about their involvement in our event.

“It’s really quite simple for us, we want to give our students the chance to compete in the best tournaments and Copenhagen Games is the best tournament on Danish soil. In fact, we’re sending our team to compete in the main tournament and believe me, we’re in it to win it. These talents are something quite special and we’re excited to show off our capabilities in a top tier tournament.”

Rydhave is still mulling over exactly how many teams to send to Copenhagen Games but there will be at least one elite team in our main CS:GO tournament. Apart from that, Rydhave will also have a presence in our expo area where they hope to attract and inform the next generation of talent.

“We give unique opportunities to students grade seven to ten that are serious, dedicated and talented in the world of eSports. However, we have a very limited student capacity so it’s important that we manage to get in touch with the very best early on. Many of the very best will be present at Copenhagen Games, either playing or visiting, and so it’s only natural for us to have a social and informative presence there so that we can reach out and get in contact with the next generation of potential eSport stars.”

We’re excited to see what Rydhave will bring to Copenhagen Games and if you’re serious about eSports and want to challenge your potential, Rydhave might just be for you. Stop by their stall at Copenhagen Games and check them out!
